    Speaking of Snow & Boats

Those videos shown about running boats in the snow gave me an idea from the past. I am just a newbie but running something in the snow sure sounds like a really fun and entertaining thing to do for anyone who has real winters. The problem is there is no "real" winter designs out there but some of you guys have so many parts lying around and are very talented in building from scratch I though I would throw this at you. Maybe a new RC machine will come out of this made just for the snow or sand for that matter.

In 1929 a brilliant design was developed called the Fordson Snow Machine. Really cannot figure out why it did not become mainstream. Take a look at this and open your minds. How to duplicate this in RC form? Could even use the propulsion system on a V hull on both sides If you are not familiar with the Fordson, be prepared to be blown away by it's capabilities.

        Tread lightly

Yeah, they work but it really goes against the "tread lightly" idea. while they are great, it will tear the crap out of everything they go over.

Still, I would like to have one!

Fun stuff! I can't imagine the temps though. No cooling and extreme loads!
