    No More Feigaos!!!

I bought these Feigaos new this past spring for my EKOS.They ve always ran very good with ZERO heat issues.I think I can say I got my $50 a piece from them.Although I wish they would have lasted longer.(Only 1 is junked now).I can say I wont be buying this brand anymore.
Now the next dillema-should I buy two more motors for this hull,or scrap it and move on?So far its my only twin-thats what Ill miss the most.Any suggestions?By the way,the hull is in not the greatest shape.

Im guessing the front bearing failed. It has a black powdery kind of look to it.They are 380XL 2612kv.

38000 rpm's with Feigao's is a no no. Were your props balanced? I cant believe the shafts bent so badly.

I ran these on 4s all summer long with no problems with props ranging from 32mm to X442's.The 42mm gave no problems at all. There are a few others here that run the same exact setup as this. But,I guess I just pushed a cheap motor a little too far.

                $50 motor, 50c bearings.

ignore TLC and they die quick.

                If it's < $100 to get the twin running..do it !

They backed out and pulled a few threads.Taking it apart now to really get a good look.

even tho the screws I am sure were tight on his boat, the heat generated by what ever happened will cause a backing out effect of the screws.
I had that happen on my daughters CMB RS21 mono. the water line got plugged up and the motor came in sizzling hot. took about 2 hrs. for the motor to cool down. All 6 head screws were loose on the motor.

So, heat can do crazy things ya know. :-)

I took care of them fine.Id pull the motor to service them about every 6-8 runs.Id like to get a couple new motors, but the hull is a little too far gone also.

Yeah I hear ya on the heat thing with screws.I used 2 lock washers per bolt as spacers because the bolts were too long and I couldnt find shorter ones.

                              feigaos!

Sorry to see that Larry but I was on the fence for those very motors for my twin cat. I'm leaning towards scorpions or neu's now for my little cat.
