Yep, I know. Still, I'd love to have one. Do you know of any place where I can get an HPR hull with at least the hardware ready to be installed, and the stuffing tube in place?

I was gonna do that, but I doubt anyone wants to sell theirs. Haha. Might as well.

            Pursuit Kintec Problem

I too have Supervee 27R which runs great but results with Pursuit from Kintec have been less than stellar. First run flex shaft curled up like a rubber band.
After waiting 2 months for a part, I had one decent run with Pursuit. Handling was good but speed was lousy. Tried it today and got swamped with water. Turned out to be a brand new cooling line leak. Tried again after new line. Now it acts like it wants to run fast but in spurts. Bad bullet connector? Teflon liner? Stumped beginner. Confidence in Kintec is fading.

My SV27 is an excellent boat. The Pursuit looks like it probably will be a pretty good boat - once it's set up right. What motor do you have in your Pursuit? Mine came with a Leopard 4074, so I think speed wise it should be pretty good. Do you have the strut seals? You definitely need those, otherwise water will come in through the strut. Hm, not sure what might be causing that last problem. Kintec is a great place to buy and Jan is a wonderful person to deal with. His customer support is second to none, and he doesn't build the boats, he orders them to his specs. You can't place the blame on him.

Ahaha! I see where you're coming from. I think if you, and I, get this boat set up right it'll be pretty good. And why did it take you so long to get the parts?

                    Hopeful

Unsure about parts. I think he was waiting on teflon tubing for the replacement flexshaft. The original that went spagetti like chewed up the teflon.
I agree with you that once we get some kinks out it will be super. Since you are being cordial, I will admit to a juvenile error. When first putting my 2 new Hyperion Lipos together with bullet connectors I subsequently reversed proper plugs when connecting to the esc. Pretty much fried the end of a black male, which is probably my connection problem now. Batteries seem to be charging and balancing properly though with the Hyperion EOS0606i AC/DC .

Ohh I see, wow that must've been pretty bad.
I recently changed all my plugs to 5.5mm bullets, and so far they've worked good. They sparked like once when connecting them to charge, and it just fried one end a bit but nothing too bad. Be careful with them and make sure they're all properly soldered and connected. I always plug the first connector into the ESC, then the second to the second battery, and then the second battery to the ESC. That way there's less room for error.

My flex shaft should come in this week and hopefully it'll be nice this weekend and I'll go for a second run. Let's learn from our mistakes!

Just an FYI- I'm working with the same factory as Kintec. From the factory, the boats need some work. The wood needs to be coated or it will rot quickly and all the parts need to be reglued and re-tightened... some need adjustment. It's a new factory, so they are still working on improving their assembly techniques. They make some of the boats at HK as well.

                        Just some insider info. =)

Thanks for the info. MY Pursuit runs in fits. Probably fried the esc when reversed polarity accidentally. Hope that's all. I just oredered a new esc.

yeah, no problem. Vid = video. http://www.hobbypartz.com/72p-52-voicecam.html

This is the one I use. Cheap, easy. There's many others out there too.

Without a vid, it's kinda guessing.

Did you set your ESC up with a programming card or just out of the box settings?
