    Standoff box

    Hey guys Im lookin at the Delta Force 25. I have a dumb question. What do they mean by a standoff box? Thanks

    not sure where you saw it mentioned...I used a 0.5" piece of wood(iirc balsa) to move the entire strut assy aft (from 2" to 2.5"), mounted between the transom and the strut. hth

        Oh yeah what is the reason for this? could I just use a stinger strut instead?

          couple of reasons(may be more) 1) some strutbrackets leave the nose to close to the transom(some cats and hydros actually have the nose of the strut under and forward of the transom) 2) to move the prop aft for stability. yes a stinger type strut should work...I'm just not a big fan of them(I like the adjustability of the octura :))
