SoCal FE Demo at new Water Park in Marina Del Rey

For anybody interested, there is a new water park opening up in Marina del Rey (Los Angeles) and they are looking for several guys to run reasonable boats in the big pool as part of an opening day celebration. I don't have many details, but if any of you guys are interested you can contact Ken Wiley at [email protected]

I believe they plan on having a concert and BBQ which you would recieve free tickets to. I think they will also cover some driving costs to get there assuming you leave reasonably close.

Define reasonable boats please. Marina Del Rey is 1.5 hr drive for me so not sure if I can find the time but I would like to check it out some day.

I think your10S 2230 0.5Y mono may be overkill, but your P sport, p mono, p offshore would probably be enough. UL-1's, P-spec riggers, etc would probably be good specs. I think Ken told me the pond was two football fields long and about 300ft wide. I would contact him directly if interested.

If some of the other SoCal boys show up, I might try to get a day pass from the warden.

That size pond is about the same width as the pond at Joe's (Questek's house), but a little over 200ft longer. May be able to get a little more speed out of the boats in the straight aways.
