look at it differently guys, the harder the gluing is, the easier it will break, I've been in the giant scale sailplane word for a long time before FE, something that work very well for servo mount in the fuselage is silicone, personnaly I use a kind of polymer, looks like a sealant, stays a bit flexible after "hardening" but it sticks to everything including polished metal or glass (window), in my 29" mono, the motor mount is made of plywood rails, same as for nitro engines, those rails are glued to the hull with this polymer, it doesn't break because it cannot break!

What I found is very common in France, you may find the same kind of product in other countries (?), there are several on the market one is called (basically translated from french to english) NoNailNoScrew, these are available at general store as multipurpose glue, most look like a white sealant (I bet they are polyurethane based polymer), they are solvent free so they work fine on any material including polystyren, IMO the result is just fantastic!

I believe what Emmanuel is referring to is " Liquid Nails" [google it]. What I've used for glueing/sealing, especially in the 15 years I lived aboard my forty-footer was 3m 5200. Sticks to any CLEAN surface ( don' get it on your hands or clothes !) Holds really well & is mildly flexible. Regular 5200 takes a full week to fully cure ; there's also Fast Cure (about 2 days) . Marine supply stores have it.
Great for sealing stuffing tubes under hull - waterproof to the max. Not cheap either !

my prefered one is from the brand Sader (Bostik group) I bet it is ot distributed in the US!
that "Liquid Nails" stuff seems great, I was looking the specs of the LN-201, it's a moisture curing polymer, got to be a polyurethan!

                Oh man!
I never thought about liquid nails...
I bet that would work great for a motor mount

honnestly it's worth to try for any assembly with any material, the best I've done was gluing square two pieces of 3mm thick Depron when I built n Hydrofoam, when I spoke about it on the french FE board everybody did laugh at me but believe me, it's fantastic, again IMO for better result it has to be polyurethan based, that's the best (you can trust me I work for the #1 adhesive dispenser manufacturer... NORDON corp. a US compagny) polyurethan are commonly used in the automotive because of its capabilities!

That's exactly why I was thinking. I use liquid nails on my speaker boxes. I was going to try the 5200. I bought some but thought epoxy was stronger so I never used it. I never really had problems with epoxy eighter but it just did not stick to the floor of the Rico. Also the floor on the Rico is VERY solid so it ain't flexing much.

So some Liquid Nails could be better to use than others?

BTW the 3m 5200 is polyurathane.
