You may watched Southern Cross news last night , regarding the possible closure of the Zinc Lake venue by Perilya ( mining company ) . If lost to residents of Broken Hill & Tourist , the lake will be another attraction to be taken from public use , it needs to be remembered that Perilya do not actually own the land & that they have leased the land from the N.S.W Government .
If it's a matter of to much of an expense for Perilya it should be given back to the N.S.W Gov. & be managed by one of their departments such as N.S.W Parks & Wildlife ?? or would they govern us recreational users of the facility out of existence ??
Whatever the case , the Zinc Lakes should always be open for use , for all
