I just picked up a pair of Mercury outboards by REMCO. I can't seem to find anything on them - Googled just about everything I could think of. Guy I got them from said the boat was called a "Mach 1". Looking at them, I'm pretty sure they didn't approach anywhere near that speed.
Anyway, he didn't have the boat, nor any pictures of it. The decals on the motors date them as about 1987 or so.
They're powered by 380 size motors and it was an RC boat, judging by the capacitors soldered to the motor tabs. They look to be fairly well made for a plastic motor. They stand about 7-1/2 inches tall. Gear driven lower unit, pinion gear driving a larger gear on the driveshaft up top much like the Robbe Roqua outboard. Motors are counter rotating. Props are about 1-5/8 inches in diameter.
Anyone ever heard of them?
Thanks,
- Scott
