Both quality regulated machine tool quality (low ripple/filtered/no noise) and new. If I remember right Andy Kunz works/worked at a place that made something similar. Condor and Power One come to mind for names.

i personally found the 580 6l to be lacking in torque but others may have had better success.
still better than the ul-1 motor/esc he was recommended on other forums to run
yeah a 12XL is better but he was talking about an 11XL at first.

If I was building this hull on the cheap and ran 6s I would use a 580 9L.

I live in Poulsbo, across the pond from Seattle. Not too many FE maniacs over here! Thats alright. I get the lakes to myself

I couldnt find any of the name brand switching power supplies for decent prices but one of the better priced ones I found is a 350w unit for under $40. Thats 29 amps at 12v. I use one similar with 2 hyperion eos1210i and the cooling fan never comes on. Even when the garage is hot, like it really gets hot in Washington! Sorry to hijack the thread.

that's only rated at 5A, so if you want to run more than one charger at a time or charge more than 5A you would need a bigger power supply like I do..

Plus, if its rated for 5 Amps,,,its probably only good for 3 Amps realistically.

some like fast servos others dont, personally i like high torque but a slower servo so the hull isnt twitchy at high speed.
in saying that i always limit the amount of steering i have, then use they exponential on the tx, this allows full turning of the steering wheel from lock to lock but only allows the rudder to move to the limit i want

I think you will probably be unhappy with the speed on 4s with the 12xl. I would stick with 6s and a smaller prop.

If you are going to run 6S use extra capacitors for your ETTI esc. and be very cautious on your setup.

It all comes down to expectations...speed...run time...$$$$...setup. I do not want to scare you but your proposed and purchased items MAY go boom. Honestly buy an Eagle Tree data logger you will not regret it.
