Don't laugh...
I have one of those ABC Volans that I traded some guy a heli for to get into the boat thing. It has a pair of brushed 600 motors in it, but needs an esc, or two. What kind of ESC(s) would you guys recomend for something like that? I've looked at those 30A Turnigy brushed ones, or possibly either the EVX2 from the E-Maxx, or possibly the esc from the E-Savage. My biggest question is how much current do you need to be able to supply to those 600's in direct drive?
I'm not opposed to going brushless, but if I an get the thing running for like $20(pair of the turnigy escs) or like $60(an evx2 or the e-savage esc) i'd rather do that route and save funds for the hydro i'm going to build.
I'd like to keep this thing as cheap as possible because, well it doesn't seem like the kind of boat to put a ton of cash into. If I like playing with the cat style boat I'll probably get a nice fiberglass one.
