I just got back from the lake ; nice & cool, tiny wind ripple but almost negligible.

The poor 1521 is going to have its neck ringed out! I think I can get P mono at 67mph, but 74 against a cat for P-offshore I'll have to defer to you.

Unfortunatly I wont be there either. I still haven't got my batteries yet from TP and my motor just got here today. I am just going to be ready when the next one comes around. I'm going to fly my planes in an RC Warbird event down at Chino air field instead so wont be out at the lake this weekend.

                  84mph with a roar legal .05 motor! on 2s

Ladies and gentlemen, I'm proud to announce that I'm officially fast now.
                  I propelled a 2s rigger to 84mph!

The heartwarming aspect is that I was super crooked through the traps, and I did it with an off the shelf NOVAK GTB 3.5 system!

I bolted the system into my N-1 SAWS rigger and went for broke! Randy said "don't do it, that thin balsa tub will shatter like a dorito if she comes undone"

I said "Naylor, she's never missed a beat!" Of all the 80 plus passes we made the boat tripped only once (driver error) over my own roller

Wouldn't have happened without the help of Brian "the raptor" Buass.
That man unleashed a series of props to me that are UN-REAL!!!

We had another prop to go, but being an N-1 I under-built brackets, so the thrust was so fierce it was deflecting off the rudder so hard it bent the rudder out and was tweaking the strut!

I'm SUPER lucky to have buddies like Randy Naylor, Brian Buass, and Bob NOVAK.
They get aggravated at me sometimes, but put up with me because they realize I'm sick. I'm addicted to electrons LoL..

Naylor went nuts this weekend shattering 3 records! INCLUDING N-2 sport hydro!

What I noticed different this year is that 100plus mph passes were shooting through the traps like it was the thing to do. It used to be that if you were gioing anything over 75 the world stopped to watch with their mouths hanging WIDE open! Now us seasoned SAWS guys hardly bat an eye to see a 100 plus pass!

The fuel guys are striking back and I don't believe they're particularly fond of electric being the fastest LoL..

I will post vid of the 21 inch rigger hauling the mail, it was kicking out 11,000 kv I'm VERY curious to know the usable on it..

                  -Ciao

                    Thanks for the post Wilmer,
I was just wondering if there were any more FE records broken.
It was great to see Randy Naylor break the Q sport hydro record at 69+mph, with the one way 77mph pass! I am glad to hear he broke 2 more.
Way to go with that 84mph rigger run! That is awesome.
I loved watching your Micro Scat Cat doing over 50mph! It is amazing watching something just over 15" going that fast!
It was great hanging out with you guys, wish I could have been there on Saturday and Sunday as well.
Have a good one, hope to see you and Randy again before the next SAWs.

It was nice meeting everyone in person this weekend at Legg Lake. I attached a few pics of the event. Invitation still holds to bring your smaller FE's on my lake some Sat/Sun near the intersection of the 5 and 405 Fwys in so Orange County. I will even provide lunch .........and repair tools. Joe Valencic

PS, THANKS BILL FOR THE GREAT DIRECTIONS ON GETTING TO LEGG LAKE.

Dude... so did you just squeeze the trigger and close your eyes with that one! Wow!! Which one of your N1 boats was it? Pictures, please!

I wish I could have made it down to watch that... Aiming for next spring right now.... Gotta see how you pros work it!

Good for you! Sounds like you had a blast... Hopefully see you next time around...
