It blew over and hit the water pretty hard landed up right so i brought her in and the speedo melted oh well thats how it goes i guess have to get a new hull. the only thing i did diffrent was i put a 640 prop on it..... im going to see if BK or fine design will warranty this speedo..........
Wow that stinks! I would see if proboat would warranty the hull. since it is fiberglass it is repairable it might take you a little time but it is possible.
I talked to chris fine today and hes going to take care of the speedo:D and he conviced me to get a better hull that can handle the speeds that im getting . He said the hydro and marine hulls can take a beating the drifter s they got 70mph + with blow overs and cartwheels and no damage.:D SO its jolly cat or drifter s ..............................................:D
If you had used expandable foam in the bow of the hull, You probably woud be running it again once you get a new speed control,,,that stuff is great.:D
I have had a few blowovers in the mid 40's as well as one submersable incident with a wave that sent it beneath the surface for a few seconds with my BJ and not a crack to be seen.:)
Ive ran her a bunch of times and it blewover and it went under nose first and nothing happend but this time i didint think it was going to be that bad till i came in and saw the smoke coming from the front.................
