Hacker skylar 2300kv 1/8 motor sensored

Think it will work good in a 4s boat such as a df33? Rated at 2200 watts... Anyone have issues running a sensored motor with a sensorless boat esc? Like t180? Again deal was to good to pass up, and it has a 8mm shaft turned down to a 5mm output shaft... Any reason to believe it will be bad? It's a 40mm case with fine like a castle and 73mm long...

Any suggestions for a water jacket as well? I'm thinking a castle 1512 jacket or maybe a 1515 jacket?

I saw those when they sent me an email of going out of business in the USA. They look nice and Hacker makes decent stuff.

No, I didn't need anything really. I almost bought a B40L core so I could put it in a cheapo motor but, it wasn't worth it.

I believe you bought a 4 pole motor and it's 40mm x 70-74mm ? If it's 4 pole it should run well. Hacker had a great reputation for quality magnets and at one time you used to be able to special order a core with a higher Guass (sp), magnetic strength.

Whatever it matches in size to a Leopard or TP it should out perform it slightly.

The sensor will not cause any problems, it's only a bonus for car guys that need low speed linearity.

Good to hear! Thanks Ray! Now to get a h20 jacket... Hopefully a castle 1515 will fit! Might do a 1512 though would hate for the motor wires to ground out on the jacket!!!!

Ya, a 1512 might be better. Worst case scenario you use some silicone to keep things sealed. As long as the ribs are not closer together than a castle I think you'll be o.k.

I almost think they have more space between them ray... Just hoping the ribs don't stick up more... Don't think so worst case I'll have a castle jacket to sell :)

I have run one in a blackjack 29, works great..did have to use a little silicone to seal water jacket, but runs great..and yes on the sensor port..its for low speed linearity and smooth throttle response in cars..i actually run it on a hacker 1/8th speedo with sensor wre..lol
