Setting number of poles when programming Hifei Swordfish Pro ESC

I have ascertained that the Turnigy T20 motor in my latest build is a four-pole motor. Using the Hifei V2 programming box I get to the setting of the number of poles but then I hit a wall. The instructions state that the magnetic poles of the motor are a multiplier of no.2. Thus if a four-pole motor do I set the box as "2" (indicating 2 multiplied by 2 = 4) or do I input "4" as the number of poles, please?
