    I live in Brazil (I'm sorry for English errors), I'm trying to build a TFL Genesis, but with a lot of problems, I think it's ESC:
    Propeller Shaft: OSE
    Engine: SSS 4082 2200KV
    Lipo battery: 2 x 3S - 50C 6000mha
    Propeller: 1716 from Pro Boat (from Veles) and X642 (octura).
    ESC: SeakingV3 180A
    ESC Settings:
    1 - Forward and Backward (default)
    2 - Auto Calculate (default)
    3 - 3.2V/Cell (default)
    4 - Timing modified to 7.50° (default is 15.00°)

    The boat fell into the water - soon after 10 seconds it started to fail, I believe it is ESC.
    You have a video and pictures attached.
    Can someone help me? Did I do something wrong?
    I think I'll go back to the lake now (after lunch) and try other settings .
    Is it true that this ESC fails anyway?


    to complete: At other times, the ESC failed (quick cut) but the boat did not stop. ESC, Engine and batteries did not heat up. The only thing I noticed that warmed up a bit was the two capacitors in the wiring of the ESC.

    Hi all,
    Today I did several tests, unfortunately all without success.
    It was running with 2 5600mA 100C - 7.4v (2S) batteries.
    Notice in the video that with the boat "totally cold", in 8 seconds it already fails ...

    1st test - ESC configuration:
    1 - Forward and Backward
    2 - S4
    3 - 3.2V/Cell (default)
    4 - Timing modified to 7.50°

    2 X 5600mA 100C - 7.4v (2S) batteries


    I then moved to:
    2nd test - ESC configuration:

    1 - Forward and Backward
    2 - S4
    3 - LVC
    4 - Timing modified to 7.50°
    2 X 5600mA 100C - 7.4v (2S) batteries

    Unfortunately I do not have this video, but the boat kept crashing, I accelerated at most, it was too slow for 4S (but it was fast, I mean slow because it was a SSS 4072 2200KV engine). It ran for just over 1 minute, stopped for a few moments ... but there was no speed expected from this configuration. After 1 minutes the boat stopped. I had to rescue him.
    When I opened it, I noticed that the battery plugs melted ... check the image. It melted not only the plugs, but also the battery case. But it was not fast for this havoc.

    3rd test - ESC configuration:

    1 - Forward and Backward
    2 - S6
    3 - LVC
    4 - Timing modified to 7.50°
    2 X 6000mA 100C - 11.2 (3S) batteries


    in 5 seconds it failed again, I returned with the boat.

    4th test

    1 - Forward and Backward
    2 - S6
    3 - LVC
    4 - Timing modified to 3.75.
    2 X 6000mA 100C - 11.2 (3S) batteries


    in 5 seconds it failed again, I returned with the boat.

    I have 2 things to do and I wanted suggestions:
    Remove this ESC and put a Flycolor 150A (it's the only one I have in Brazil for now);
    or
    Redo the connections (solder again - I thought there might be some failure in soldering of the EC5 pulgs ...
    On redo soldering of the plugs - it is laborious and I will lose the plugs that I soldered, but it would be possible in this picture (which burned / melted 2 2S batteries (the plugs) having failed my solder? These plugs that I soldered did not melt, I believe that the service is good ...

        Set timing to 0*, turn off LVC and time your runs.

            Hi Marcos,

            How high is the the propeller from the bottom of the hull ?
            You should have 5mm high from the bottom of the hull and 0° angle.

            I don't have SSS motor, but I have 15° timing for a Leopard and 3.75° with TP.
            Both are 4 poles, but it depends on the brand/manufacturer.

            IMO The pitch of your props is high to begin the settings of your boat, this overload the motor unnecessarily
            Try a 1.4 ratio pitch/diameter like octura X445, or 45 aluminium prop.

            For a 2x 2S setup try this setting:

            1- Forward only.
            2- S4
            3- None
            4- 0°

            If it works well, change the cut-off value to save your batteries from deep discharge.
