Been running Castle almost exclusively for years, set half a dozen SAW records and won a lot of oval races. I prefer the ICE or EDGE Lite air controllers with cooling tubes. Others like the Mamba XL2 either with the fan or with water cooling added. As long as I keep them dry and use them within reason I have not lost one. One has made 28 sets of high-amp-draw SAW passes, dozens of oval heats and is still running fine. Others in my club them too and they last...if kept dry. .ERROR 403 - This is not the page you are looking for

I'm not trying to be mean. You have now mentioned burning up boat electronics and car electronics.
Much advice has been given.
Do you run in salt water mainly, partly or all the time?
I know only a couple runs and possibly even one good long run in saltwater can clog a waterline and not always permanently. I'm just guessing here.
Hifei, aka Swordfish I race with all the time. I've burnt up a 240 during a learning curve but since then I've been o.K.
Salt water can be part of the problem possibly your batteries, I have no idea but, things are burning up on land and water for you, sorry.Nortavlag Bulc

Well that's part of my problem ,I tape all my hatches but a little water always gets in ,I'm not great at hull repair ,but there isn't a water proof ESC out there? Maybe I'll try your idea and buy one of those and water proof it like on another post and add cooling blocks ,I have some burnt ESC laying around ,I would really rather just buy one ,thanksComment

My 1st summer with boats ,big learning curve ,salt water only when we stay on the bay ,rest of the time at the lake ,most of my problems occurred at the bay, been racing cars for years and the castle stuff just quits, not just me but the guys in the club too,yes I do run wide open passes ,fast as I can ,that's what I bought these cats for ,they are really hard on batteries ,just trying to figure out what the fast guys are doing and that's what I'll do ,but I can't seem to keep a boat dry ,probably because of my repairs ,this is my last weekend for boats as its cooled off enough ,below 100* ,to start racing tracks and going to the dunes ,so I'm trying to learn how to set stuff up for next summer ,thanks for the help ,Comment
