Has anyone taken apart the hard case batteries

Hello gurus and such! Just wondered if anyone has tried to remove the "hard case" from said batteries to get at the meat inside and use them as such? I was thinking of trying the 1000 mah batteries but don't want the case and the plugs that go with them. Anyone? I would just solder on some wires and new ends. Hit me with it
Don't forget to put your brain in gear before you engage your mouth! Thanks Dad!

Check out youtube, quite a few tutorials on removing the case. Really easy to do, take your time and do not use a sharp metal implement to split the cases!
What is inside is exactly the same as a shrink wrapped pack, just no shrink.
If it's one of those packs you can plug the bullets into I have no idea how the inside is done, but I imagine you should be able to do something with the wiring.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?
