An example of a lower end pack bursting into flames when used in a non-Limited motor setup. The label on the pack implies it should be fine for 200 amps continuous discharge, but at around 160 amps this is what happened. Less than two minutes in a P Sport Hydro. The other pack in the boat was fine.....

I picked up two zippy 5s packs a few weeks ago, 40C 5000 mah and they're great. They don't get very hot and balance well. I do have to say in the past I ran gens ace 4S 5000mah hardcase packs (idiot I am over discharged both one day because I didn't have lvc dialed in, both went puff but user error). I beat the crap out of these packs in sport and race environment. The packs NEVER got warm and provided a ton of power even after minutes of running oval. If you have the money go gens ace, if you don't go zippy lol. Also was fairly new to the hobby when I got the gens ace 4S packs and I put them through a lot, they kept coming back for more. Hobbypartz has some good deals also check out nitrorcx.com they sometimes have even better prices. In a sport boat lipos can and will last a long time if they're never kept within voltage range and if the C rating isn't exceeded.

One thing to keep in mind..............and its a 'big' thing. Get the highest C rated packs you can afford!! 40c is best, the same pack in a 30c may be 5 bucks less, why not go for the ones that will last longer, take less abuse and give you the most punch for roughly 10% more??? The 5 bucks you are saving per pack will cost you more in the long run.

Check out his example of thorough shopping, the 35c is MORE than the exact same 40c!!!!! Go figure this one out, probably sales numbers involved but who cares.

        5000 3s 40c for $48.19 - http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...Lipo_Pack.html

        5000 3s 35c for $49.99 - http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...Lipo_Pack.html

If you want TP or Hiperian quality then I would sugest the Dinogy brand I sell. There more expensive than gens ace but a lot cheaper than TP or Hyperian. There 65C and have a 6 month warranty. I have no complaints from anyone thats bought them so far.

Mark, are you offering any more sizes than the 10 I saw listed..................is that the initial 'batch' of selection? Still, out of the 10, darn near every configuration can be made. Decent prices too.

I have some 6s 3300 and 5s 1800 that aren't on the site yet but there more for airplane guys. I can get or have made almost anything you want. I believe these batteries are the best bang for buck over any other battery out there.

Big deal most people change them out.... and I want to say that the AQ esc only have 14g wires..

Not sure why some would think you need 8g battery wires on that esc?
                  Just sayin
