Looking to buy new 4s lipos?

Hi all my 4 yr old PolyyRC 5000 mah packs are toast . My poly packs where a pair of 2s packs plugged in series.IS there any advantage of running the set up i just mentioned over a single 4s pack ? Regards Andris Golts.

Nothing wrong with running a pair of 2S packs. I do that often so if one pack goes bad, it's only half of the 4S! Cheaper to replace one 2S pack than a 4S pack. It is also nice
to be able to put one pack on the starboard side and the other on the port side to even up the weight. That also provides a lower center of gravity in the boat so they are
a little less prone to flip.
