Hello, I'm a new member. I recently bought a Traxxas Villian IV in really nice condition. Seller claimed it was never run. Looks to be all stock. Threw some batteries in it and radio seems sketchy. Being so old, I think I need a new radio set up. While I'm at it,would like to replace motors and esc. I want to leave the driveline stock for now. Looking at the Hobbywing 880. Not sure about motors to go with that. 540's 21 turn? batteries? Anyone have any suggestions. Don't want to go crazy, at least not yet.....Thanks in advance.

Almost exactly what I have in my Villian EX. Although if I recall, I went with the 27T motors and propped up. 880 works great. I ran/run (only because it's been so long) on 4S. -
Back in the round cell days this hull was hard to beat with an SS1 700BB motor and 12 Nimh cells(converted to single drive).
