I must to make a little spacer on lathe. I did not know put closer the bracket to the transom. The inside carbon layer is too wavy. What you think guys is this a problem?

            Thanks the response vvviivvv.
I will make a spacer from alu or teflon for safety's sake.

Are you saying inside your up against the thickness of the hull? So the insert is not lining up?

                Hi Silver
Yes the inside layer is wavy and the insert is not lining up.
The outside surface and the inside surface is not parallel. Tried with Dremel but there is not enought space inside.
Will try to make a photo.

I made a similar mistake on a first build. Too close to the edge and not accounting for the hull thickness + the extra corner inside.

You will have to start elongating the hole away from the edge, probably 5+mm more until the insert fits inside. The hole will end up open on one end, but that can be backfilled with epoxy.
Just a heads up, build one side at a time so you are sure everything works before attempting the other.
Once you have a few hulls built under your belt, you can do both sides at the same time.

                    Thanks the reply Silver
With a little mods the insert is on its place.
If I think correctly the lenght of the driver is determines the place of the parts. So the driwer would be a bit longer. Because with this measures it is really close to the inside corners where the layers not soo straight.

Little work today and the drive perfectly parallel.

The drives on these usually run negative angles, how did the inside work out?

Just a bit trimming the corners and made an angle on the edges. That was enought. I wiil drill out the threads from insert and use a 4mm screws with nut.
Can adjust a little negativ angle:)
Next step is to place the motor mount. Is there a rule for the right positions?

                                A little forward.
Started to build in the flexible drives and the motor mount. Meanwhile arrived the battery.
This will be the first test with this type. 9500mah 90c would be good. I have really good experience with cnhl 120c batteries in my other cat.
I have opportunity to choose between three type of Lehners.

                                3060/7 10s-12s
What you think guys? I prefer the 3rd version contrary to the original notion.
