I ordered a MHZ Chaparral last October and am getting ready to start the build on it. This will be my first complete build so I will have a lot of questions. I am hoping that more experienced guys will chime in. I hope to have the boat completed by spring. Few starter questions below,
I have purchased some good quality carbon fabric for the inlay and am open to all suggestions on doing the inlay. I have read many threads on the subject here and they have been helpful but I am open to any help anyone would like to volunteer.
Should I reinforce the transom? I plan to run the inline strut/rudder from MHZ
How high off the bottom of transom should stuffing tube be installed?
What is the best way to clean up the seam on the hull. It is not terribly bad but could be better. My plan is to build out the boat and then remove hardware for painting. Is this the correct thinking?
I plan to run 12s2p with a TP Power 650kv motor. I have been looking at the ZTW Seal 300amp esc and the Swordfish X+ 300 amp esc, which would you guys recommend?
I have done an inlay on my Zonda but it does not look the best but seems to work. I have had a few crashes and the hull has not split. I would really like for this one to look better. Thanks in advance and I hope everyone has a Happy, Healthy and prosperous new year.
