    questions and help

Many thanks to Ray for helping me out with the boat its now going ok....

The problem im have is that after about 2 minutes of running the boat it seam's like all it want's to do is cavitation on the spot and not get up on plane.... nothing is getting hot and the battery's have only used 1300mah of the 4000mah .... im running my batterys all the way to the back of the hull... i was running a x440 prop but am now running a grimracer 38 by 55 prop....should I.....

drop the skeg down (see picture on where it is now)?????

    Move battery's foward????

    Or What???

Also the motor is a fsd motor are these a middle of the range motor without spending a mint????

The motor is a 2074 kv motor and im running it on 14.8 volts so that's 30695 rpm

Should i try running it on 22.2 volts and use a smaller prop say 34-36mm coz that's 46042 rpm is that too much rpm for this motor??????

      netik,
should be fine on 4s, no need for 6s.

Lower your strut till it sits on the table, that will be a good start point, then adjust your centre of gravity so the balance point is about 28% to 30% of the length of the boat from the rear of the sponson transom, start at 28, then adjust after running, you may need to raise / lower the strut, but at least get a couple of runs in so you start to have fun with the boat, then you will enjoy fine tuning it.

      Cheers...Tim.

We sell that system in black or natural finish with a 3/16" shaft.

Could yo maybe resise that picture or delete it? Wow, its really stretching the page!!!

Steve's hardware is really nice and a fraction of H&M's price.

                Lower that strut!!

even the H&M hull seems like its prop is too high??? Must runn ok???

                  Couple questions on this hull...
First, Ive gotten twist out of a hull before when it was still "green". Is it possible to tweak it once its cured for several months.. over a year, etc.? Its about a 3/32" twist. Should I even worry about it. Also, the left sponson isnt so bad, but the right kicks in quite a bit. Is it best to re-work the ride pad so its flat again. Or, I found that if you push down on the inside of the hull where the tunnel turns down into the sponson, you can kinda straighten it out.. anyone know or have any tricks. I thought maybe if I can get it to stay close to where it needs to be when I carbon the inside, it will help to straighten things out. Im suprised at how light and thin the layup is on these. Runing it without reinforcement would scare the heck out of me.

Did anyone ever finish a twin build??? I see a few started, then nothing?

I am just finnishing my twin but it's only a twin 380... What with folks in hospital and work and other boats to build for my dad.... I've not updated my theads but I will be happy to talk about then and throw some pic's up... I'm STILL working on the repair to the gelcoat and once that's done I'll be out on the water... BTW, props came at the weekend, LOVE THEM!!!!!!

I wanted to find a system to install all kind of props M4, 3/16"... but I didn' find this magic adapter.

So I choose to mount only 3/16" props on the HOTR aluminum rudder and strut: "nylstop" inox nuts, PEEK VICTREX washer (graphite + carbon + teflon + bronze) the stock PTFE washer is very light, prop adapter3/16" to 4mm and Kintec Racing bullet nut much stronger than aluminum stock.

Strange about the strut. My sprintcat runs best with it at 1/2" above the sponsons.

Steven, that's great! It replaces the awful square shaft! Good job!

I think that you need to reinforce this joint with fiberglass, access isn' t easy but this is the only issue
