Didn't they at one time have red and yellow hulls also.

Has anybody done a twin 540 build?
I have been thinking of doing something like...
                        10l Feigao X2
                        ETTI Navy 150 X2
                        Octura X442's
                        Running on 2 4S Li-Po's....

                        What do you think???

                          I have 2- Arc 3655-1turns 2800kv (4-pole L-size can), 2- Skywing esc's either 100 amp or 200 amp units I modded with waterproof and cooling, I've got both.
                          L & R .150 octura cables with 3/16" stub stepped down to 1/8".
I'll use some older Hyperion cells 3S, 5000's to start with Venom 3 blade props 32mm &36mm...

I started my twin drive build yesterday. Going along the lines of Killerdave`s build with 2 4cells lipos and octura X442`s (counter rotating) but with 2 7XL motors.

Got the outdrives mounted (from tough racing) and then found out I`ve bought the wrong size stuffing tubes - awesome!

I haven`t got the esc`s sorted yet but I might go for 2x himodel 200amp(modified with water cooling). I already have an ETTI 150 (which is easily the best esc ever owned) but its cheaper to buy 2 himodels than one more of these.

And now I have a question, there are 2 types of himodel 200amp esc. The 4-8cell version with bec and the 3-7cell version with no bec. I have already fried one of the first type (which ran very hot even with water cooling at 118amps) and have another one ready to try. Is there any reason why the 3-7cell version might be better, I`ve noticed that quite a few people use them?

Don't use the BEC and don't use over 4-6S batts. I run them, same as my Skywings too. I just don't use the BEC. Remove red wire and use UBEC or RX pack.

It'll save you money in the long run. I don't know why they rate that esc at 8S, silly.

As soon as I get more thermal RTV silicone I'll show you my monster cooling and esc rebuild (only for Opto Versions!) For these I'm using $40 Mystery esc's from Fleabay Might as well get them there, $40 to your door??? Why bother with Himodel, same esc pretty much...
                                Monster ESC build coming soon....
