Thanks RRCKong for the starting point, I am in the process of sealing up the hull at this moment. Had to remove the motor mount rails because they were cracked, going to fab and install new ones. But thanks again for a great starting point!

          40" v hull build

Boat is progressing well reinforced the inside of the hull and got the outside work done and paint. Looks good to me! I am wondering if anyone has any thought's about me using a leopard 4082-1600kv with a 200amp ESC in it on 6s? The boat is just for sporting around and having some fun!

Also what are thought's either a stinger or strut? The transom is not completely flat, it has a kind of concave shape at the very bottom so I'm not sure which one will work best? Any help would be great!

I am a glutton for punishment so I did a strut with flooded tube on my recent build This allows for maximum adjust ability. It looks like it may be troublesome putting a stinger with the transom like that anyway.image1.jpegimage2.jpeg

I don't think that motor is a good choice for a hull that size. Though it may work it won't be ideal. Look for lower kv and larger can size. I have a 4092 in a 32" mono and it is NOT too big.
