That looks pretty cool, what are you going to do with the rear?

I cut the tunnel tab out and I have an idea on how to mount it and make it adjustable, nothing worth photographing yet though. The Manx has been sitting dormant, but I think I finally have my motivation back. I hope to see it float soon.Comment

The rear is on hold until I get a rudder made up and layout the other hardware. It will all be closed in soon enough. There will be 4 hatches total on the boat. One over each motor & coupler, one over the batteries with access to the esc's too, and one for the servo & receiver. There will be tunnels over the stingers the props will stick out a bit.The Manx has been sitting dormant, but I think I finally have my motivation back. I hope to see it float soon.Comment

I just thought of a way to make the stingers adjustable hopefully it will work. weld a bolt to it and have it run up through some metal with a nut on each side. not sure if words are explaining this well enough or not but I will test out my theory tomorrow if I have time. The Manx has been sitting dormant, but I think I finally have my motivation back. Sneak peek at the rear section and TTab
You will notice the end will taper in slightly.
There will be a 1/8" thick piece of aluminum put in above the TTab and tapped for adjusting screws.
Lastly over the stingers will be tunneled, should look cool when completed. The Manx has been sitting dormant, but I think I finally have my motivation back. I hope to see it float soon.Comment

Thanks ACE, I try to keep it looking nice and precise so I don't have to do as much body work at the end. I just picked up more glazing putty and filler primer. I should have some more work done later tonight. The Manx has been sitting dormant, but I think I finally have my motivation back. I hope to see it float soon.Comment

Looks sweet what are you going to do for a canopy or will that be a suprise?Failure is the First step to SUCCESSComment

Standard single Skater type canopy, no big deal. I'll most likely shape it out of balsa or foam. I've not put a lot of thought into it yet. Next I need to get the starboard drive tube in and try to get them to match evenly on both side. I also started making a prop shaft bushing. I need to come up with a 1/8 thrust bearing too.The Manx has been sitting dormant, but I think I finally have my motivation back. I hope to see it float soon.Comment

Well it looks like one of us has been busy, I have been busy with work, and doing puppet shows for our church and just had this last weekend off, I spent most of it doing research on electric motorcycles (up sizing the sport $$$$$$x$$$) but very interesting bicycles are cheaper to convert though, Well I got my new boat kit (just a laser cut of the same boat) it will be a 2 motor affair as well but I am trying to think of some mods so I can use some kind of strut system, any way happy buildingPeter Eells; Fun, and Helping others To Have Fun!!!
