A good step up from the JAEs according to the IC racers round these parts.

Would you weigh it and let us know what the bare woodwork without hardware weighs once you have it sealed please?

Got 1 sponson completed other then the final coat of epoxy to seal the wood.
The other one is almost done just need to finish sanding it.
It's crazy how light and strong it is at only 3oz.

I also ordered the carbon and aluminum tubing for the booms should be here in next day or so.

I have had more progress on the build.
The other sponson is also finished.
I cut out some tub sides and bulkheads to do some mock up and layout checks.
One I made 1/4" taller to see how it would help fit things.

After some checking and measuring I was advised to move the rear book tubes forward about 1-1.5".
This will help make more room for batteries to fit and also help be able to adjust the CG forward or back as needed.
            I'll post some pictures later.

                  Yep what Ray said.
I will be cutting and building the new version after the holidays.
I have permission from Niklas to offer them to others so if anyone is interested in a kit shoot me a pm.

For what it's worth, the Chinese have made a very poorly designed copy of the KEPS in Fiberglass.

Yes. I saw that & bought a pair of the sponsons with the view to building a tub for them myself.
Got started on it the other day. I'm using the KEPS .21 drawings for all the measurements & proportions etc. Didn't know there was an electric drawing available.
Although I've made the tub a bit wider to fit the ESC in beside the battery.
See the danger. THEN DO IT ANYWAY!!!

Any idea how much material cost will be to build one rigger from the plans? Assuming I have flotation and epoxy required.

Ray its actually not a bad copy. I'll be posting a full review of these boats shortly. I was sent them to review and give an honest opinion and I've got one running pretty dam good tbh.
