    Hi y.o.r.k.

Nice to see your progress. You are right about the 5x5. I added it to the design later on, to make building them easier.

The front face of the cowl cutting template sits flush with the front face of the cowl centre rib.
CoG sits approx 30% from the back of the sponsons, but depends on many parameters, such as outboard angle, prop, total weight and so on.

By the way, I'm building the successor of the Cozy F1 right now. Bigger size with more modern looks. No drawings available yet. I need to finish it and test it myself first:

Thanks for the quick response. I tried to position the cowl as you described. Is this correct?
My ribs for the sponsons are a littel bit rounded at the top. This is the only change I did, I think it looks a little bit more modern.
I think/hope your "Cosy F1 Successor" is worth a new thread. I'm looking forward to this.

The bold top of the sponsons might be difficult to realize, as the sponson has a wing-shape length wise. A double radius in 2 directions in the same surface is not possible with a wooden sheet. But you could maybe use many small strains as top skin.

I do have a build topic of the Cozy F1 T800 in Dutch. Language might be difficult, but photos might interest you:
Hoi mede speedboot vaarders.

Thinking about an English build topic. It seems the interest on the forums have been decreased unfortunately.

My Cozy F1 is still going strong. Currently running a 36mm 1.4 pitch prop. The outrunner has to work hard spinning this prop. Rpm and top speed decreased, but cornering is great with this prop.

I made a small video. Including my Hydromite; 50cm hydro, running on 3S. It is a little ripper!

Hi fellow rc boaters, I made a cost breakdown video of my 23" F1 Tunnel.

My friend made an inboard version, which I also cover.

Last weekend, we ran 2 Cozy F1's head to head.
One with outboard (orange/yellow) and one with inboard setup (Blue/RedBull). Both run a 4S setup, and are very closely matched! It was great fun [emoji16].
