I just sold a set of 8mm to 3/16 I actually just mailed them today lol but anyways no problem bro. It's a pain in the ass to solder flexe shafts. sometimes it can take me a few times of applying the liquid flux and heat a few times. If you have any problems let me know.

Nice build. Glad I haven't started mine even though I've had it all for a year plus. I specially like the way you mounted the struts and how you laid out the holes to be drilled.

Why do you put them on an angle though instead of straight up and down?

      Tks.

I just mounted them that way for ease of hardware. I can get to the hardware better. I don't know if its that visible from any pics but once the bottom mount water pickups were installed it makes it a bit easier to get an Allen wrench in there. I really took a lot of time trying to line things up.

How the heck do you get that 3" wide stuff that far into the tips? Looks like a lain in the butt.

Lol!! Yeah,,,,,, it was challenging to say the least. I put the 3" cf in dry then held the end with fingers. It pretty much stayed put as just a few sharp pieces of existing fg would keep it in place. The hard part was positioning it, used dowel rods with solder flux brushes taped to ends. Then just worked the resin into it. Used finishing resin so had plenty of time to work it. I had the boat held vertically with nose down so I could look down as I was brushing resin in. The hard part was placing the nonwoven cf on the underside of deck!! Couldn't see any of that, used a small mirror but it was just in the way. Got my fingers wet on that one!! It was definitely a challenge to reinforce the whole hull all the way to the tips!

Definitely one of the more difficult things to do definitely requires patience to complete a carbon inlay through the entire hull.

Curious were you running your props turning in or out?

Cool!! I don't know if I could have the patients to fully reinforce a smaller hull, like a river cat, king of shaves. About the only time I got frustrated was when I had a stray fiber sticking out that cured that way. Pain in the a$$ to sand down with a long piece of wood with sandpaper glued to it. Tried a rotary tool (dremmel) with the flexible shaft, it bit once and went wild!! Thought I broke through the hull, so just kept hand sanding. I don't have small hands so lots of dowel rod tools.

They are very nice. There are some Chinese ones that are L & R threaded specially made for twins. Not as accurate but, cool. Maybe MBP would make L&R sets too?

No need for r&l if you can loosen one of these collets I would be very very surprised. It will nly make for a more confusing setup for some people

Damm, we have had heavy spotted rain showers here. About 2-1/2 " rain in the last couple days. The river is up a little but not too bad. I am going to try and get back in the water this weekend. Nothing fast yet, sticking with 8s for a while.

Ummm. Right here at OSE. BTW, SF 240 is a speed controller. (Swordfish 240 amp)
