Thanks, I can definitely say the extensions are attached extremely well. When I was mocking them up I was also polishing/sanding them. The tolerance in the support to the extension mount was pretty tight. With some grit and polish the mount pin got locked in the extension. I literally had a long screwdriver in the stinger slot with the whole boat locked down with my legs wrenching on it. The more I tried the tighter it got!! I finally removed it and had to drill/mill it out and make a new shaft!! At one point I thought I might bust the back of the boat apart, that's when I stopped. Inside the hull I made a "H" shaped plate for the bolts to go into, and tapped. That was very hard to get in there!! Absolutely no room. I had to resort to using a scope inspection camera to help line things up before securing with epoxy. Guess the reinforcing is working.
I've been stuck with work this week and don't think I have time for the water but am eager to get back to some speed!!!

Video of first run on some x457 octuras b/s minor cup and reprofiled to 52mm. Video doesn't show it but this thing was out of the water, only last 3inches were wet!! Didn't want to keep into it too much plus run out of range quick. 102mph, more is to be had.

105 is top so far, that I can verify. I had a 107 but that was with a different GPS and I don't know accuracy of that one. I usually use the garmen taped to deck. But yea, I'm still happy with it.

And just a quick run after lowering stingers some.

Lol!!! Yup, more work!!! I do have to say I love it!!! Scary part of that whole long jump/flip thing is the river is low and where I picked it up water was only a foot deep!!! I could have walked out and got it. Lucky no damage. But I'm not sure about starboard motor, not looking good,,,,,,,

Well I may not have cooked a motor, after starting a tear down I found the motor to be cogging from a melted Teflon liner. I've melted Teflon a couple times now so changing that out. Motor turns very free (the normal magnet notchy feel) I will hook up batteries and check but the smell was just a little off, I should have recognized that right away. You all know that cooked motor smell, and Teflon smell just a tad different but still when something smells of burnt money you always think of the most expensive parts and in the pic you can see a new flex assembly will be replaced. I also have to say the loctite has been holding strong. I did order another motor, even if it's not needed I'm sure I'll be able to find a home for it

I did not know that neu motors use lead wires. I haven't taken the end bell off yet, anybody know if this can be reattached or just send it in? Or does it require rewinding?

Hi, i have this problem with my NEU motors eitrher (but my motor was DeadOnArrival with this issue). I managed to resolder wire to coil wires again. It was quite difficult but i was succesful.

Neu Switched to the silicone lead wires after having too many problems with magnet lead wire fatiguing and breaking. The older style motors with magnet wire are much more desirable for this reason.

I think I might be able to re-solder, I'll try,,,,

You must be getting a lot of heat building up on those wires,
Do you have any temp reading for them or on the connector ?

Been there done that, ordered the old style magnet wire motor from Steve Nue, problem solved! Just brace the wires so they don't flop around and don't keep bending them.

I don't have a specific numerical value, I just go off touch. Any yes there is/was heat build up. When that happened I had run back to back sessions and both were rather long times out. It wasn't just two passes and bring her in. So I do have to say this is more of my fault by not limiting run times and not letting things cool In-between runs. As it's already a hot setup, 10s on 1250kv motor pushing a heavy with lots of pitch. :)

I don't think I will order specific as from stated above this is more of my fault from not letting things cool, it is a saw only setup. If I were to, how do I get hold of him? I know I've talked to him on other forum but forget and a wile back.
