The carbon/kevlar inlay is not 100% perfect...very few are. Your reaction is a direct result of never doing one yourself.
When you are dealing with fiberglass, carbon fiber, kevlar, etc...expecting things to be perfectly straight is nieve at best. You have a fiberglass hull that has a kevlar inlay done the entire length of the hull. Sorry, but I seriously doubt that you could do better yourself...and you are getting a hull made by someone who was paid peanuts to manufacture it. It is very common for an inlay to have a high spot or two, especially around the tunnel area. Again, you just don't have enough experience to even know what to expect. There is nothing wrong with the hull that you received...you got a lot of boat for a small amount of money and you are b@#ching about it. I would assume Kevin, or Jason, or whoever you have been emailing are not happy with the situation, so I'm not surprised that you find their emails abrasive. FC makes very little on the hulls they sell...definitely not enough to deal with this nonsense.

Keith, you would agree the hull is fine and capable of performing well, being durable, and also "acceptable ," for most any FE boaters wants/needs? I think the hull is fine and any boat needs seam work, MHZ or not the process remains the same. Kevin at FC is great for those people on here who have not dealt with him by the way so fear not when dealing with him.

Ok guys I think all points have been made at least once on the quality of the hull. Please agree to disagree and drive on.

Then tell me why he didn't offer to make this right. 600.00 got me a mess and the worst service I have ever seen. If you walked into his store this Hull would not have been sold!!!!!

Here is the deal Keith. I have seen the quality of the TFL boats as I have one and sent one back, because of cracks found in the hull. But the quality was great. This is the reason I bought the Super Daytona. Had I known that you gave Kevin the stick to beat me with. I would have bought from some one that was trust worthy. This man made no attempts to make this right. I fact he pointed out that I had this comming. So blow smoke up someone elses hole!

              Daytona repair and build.

This still needs holes drilled in it and some shaping but you get the idea.

The "one" you bought and sent back was a RTR Zonda, not a bare hull. Bare hulls need work.

looking at the picture above you will see that the Kevlar isn't done well at all. See the waves in the cloth? Well those are pockets under the waves!

So your saying that you would have bought this hull? I'm ok with work but this is bad. And what are you saying that you get a better hull if you buy a RTR hull?

WOW, this is getting interesting again, I almost forgot that we are building a boat here, is there a no return policy at FC?

I think it might be time to start handing out some time out slips
