Hahahaha ... here in the states a battle-ax has a different meaning.

Slang. a domineering, aggressive, sharp-tempered person, esp. a woman.

Out for its first runs today after the cut and paste work.
It ran very nice on the water, once I removed the turn fin.
The old fin is quite thick and an aerofoil shape that was made for my first failed rigger over 2 years ago. I keep most metal stuff in case it can be used again.
It is now very apparent that this fin has been a problem for a long time and I have solved the problem so many other ways that now I have a very good undersatnding of how hydros are designed and run.
At wot the boat climbed up the fin and flipped over. Very simple really.
If I had found this so long ago I would bever have learnt as much as I have.

Fin off and this boat rocks.
Left sponson out of the water on launch and then settled like it was glued to the water. Naturally high power turns were out.

I ran a 8S on 2S to a 432 for today that should net me about 400W of power.
          A 632 will go up to 500W.
I'll use the 12S on 3S to go up to 500W and see how it goes.

Given that my chosen outrunners can easily produce 250W (up to 400 W) each I can see that twins will be a blast.

The hull is now back on the bench having pads fitted to get rid of the dihedral on the sponson bottoms.
I have gone for 1.3" wide pads that will be 0deg dihedral and 4 deg AoA with a neutral tub.

The weather here is total bollocks at the moment and will be so for days so I'll be off the water until next week.
          See it....find the photos.....sketch it it....build it........with wood

Interesting how something simple can prove so tortuous to discover, a real

an you translate please? what does 8S on 2S mean???

thanks for the update! always interesting hearing your discoveries

First S is the motor and second S is the battery. ie: Fiegao 12S with a 2S1P.

                Simon,

Send me a PM or an email, I've got a 7S with a waterjacket that's in good shape you can have.

We need to resume our design discussions soon. I've been preoccupied with a new job.
