'78 The Squire Shop U-64 1/8th scale hydroplane build

Well, I have had a build thread on IW for a while, but figured I would share the progress over here now. This will be powered by a 1527 1Y on 8s. Just finished the majority of the paint work last night. I have to finish the cockpit/ seat area, windshield, and change some colors on the dummy Allison V-12. This started out as one of my wood frame kits. Enjoy the pics! Mike

Mike, the boat looks really good !
Is that a built in, air dam on the bottom of the hull in the unfinished picture ?

Thanks everyone. It will be a 1527 1y on 8s...go figure right! Its a strong setup for the 1/8th scales, so its been my powerplant of choice in most every scale I have done. Nothing has been rigged on the inside yet. I just did get the paint done, and now I have some other builds that need to be done before I really continue much on this hull, and with the new GP cowling molds being finished this week, I have a feeling my time is going to be spread thin!
