      Hello Everyone,
Today was the day Ive been waiting for for some time. Testing the new AS150's plus running 8s. Went better than I thought. with the 448/2 CNC out of the box blades she did 131.7km/h (just short of 82Mph). Not bad for a set of 2250's. Everything came back cool ish: Motors 48.6c and batteries 37c ESC"s at around 35c. I'm hoping to test the 457 cut to 52mm and also the propshop 5017/2

Thanks Chris, I'm really happy with her at the moment. I definetly think there is a bit more in her, maybe 90mph? I don't want to push the motors to extreme limits but they seem ok. Maybe for everyday fun I will run larger props and 6s. Definetly getting her painted now LOL

LOL I'm almost in bed, one eye open with the iPad. Thanks doc! Will get you some plans of the mounts, still have Sikaflex left over, you should use before it dries out. I believe it's 241 marine grade or something.

                Hi Kent,

definitely a good performance. Remember the quote in "Jaws": "You're going to need a bigger boat" ? I think your not going to need a bigger boat, you are going to need a bigger lake. I'm also pretty happy that you are satiesfied with the performance of the 26.150 ESC's.

For future prop tests: As I've already written you, I'd try first on a bigger lake a set of X450/3's. I think they are almost perfect for your setup and should be already fine for 90mph.

                regards,
                manuel

Thanks Manuel, You're right about the big lake! I will definetly have to, or else I won't have a chance to open her up. Did I mention I never hit full throttle? I'm definetly happy with the performance of both the 2250's and the AS26.150's Its amazing that a small package like that can push so hard. I have ordered a set of 2280/5 from Lehner to take the stress of the 2250's if I get 90mph with the 2280's I'll be happy. I know they will pull bigger props aswell so 100mph shouldnt be a problem. Im thinking the 5mm flex will be handy here!! The big lake is usually a bit rough, and if any wind all the model sailboats will be out "lots of them" together with their partner (old folks) . But if all goes well, we will have some results next week from the 450/3's.

Oh ok.... never dealt with the guy so can't argue. Maybe thats a good thing :) Ive moved into a different kind of boats now as well, and I think I will stick with it. I'm really enjoying the European craftmanship and simplicity. (not moching anyone here) Maybe just have a bash boat for giggels that I can let everyone drive, and get them hooked on to the hobby (uppss I didnt want to talk religion or politics here) I take back the part about getting people hooked on the hobby :) ....

Anyway Chris, ya done with the boat yet :) LOL Comeon.....
