Oh nO I hope that is a "real" holiday and not the other type. Last time I heard that it meant something else! I've wondered myself where's he's been. Been following these threads for a long long time and no word from him for a while. Hope all is well

Will definetly try once I get them S/B one would asume the 4518/3 have more total pitch?

I got mine S&B from here.I haven't checked them yet though. They do have a tendancy to do wheelies.Prop Shop 2 blades may be the ticket.I'm waiting on the ABC 2016's and a pair of 5018's from Fightercat.

Some motors(I read castles) don't like the pitch.Saying that,Propshop is going to love me next year when I have the HPR built.

Some people overlook the limited amount of power available, and puzzle how to translate that to propulsion
A 4518/3 at WOT doesnt make much change to the x447 WOT.. we've shown the speed increase 4518/3 Vs x447/2 is only 8 kms !
The motor was laboring with the 4518/3.
Why ? cheap Turnigy cells dropping voltage under load ?... sharpened, balanced, FAT props adding load ? .. so many pieces to the puzzle.
The same limited power source produced 4518/3 to 112kmh , also had a lazy time to 94kmh with x447/2
What the ?... 3 times the prop gained 19% more speed.. ???

I prophesize an easy 130kmh on pair 6S 1717 with more watertime and less trying to find the perfect prop
I add that the super fast 114 use large water, not short sprints .

For a first build Im highly impressed with Kent's results.
But I think it's time we ventured out to the big lake and killed some electrons ( I'll bring the rescue toy ! )

I'm definetly keen to try out in the bigger lake! You need that no doubt. I'm sure you need wot for 4sec or so, in the small lake I get 1.5 if I'm lucky. In terms of batteries, I'm not sure if there is a weak link there, but I'm using nanotech 6s 5000mha 65c~130c (advertised) so they should be ok? The runtime should be shorter? Maybe I'm pulling enough amps.

Kent,do you have an Eagle Tree?It might help with figuring amp draw and RPM.Both these can be read from the basic unit. The most I've pulled is 118 amps with those X450's with the 4082's.That was only 5s though.

I am leaning toward the HPR.The fact that the MHZ stingers aren't adjustable is rather worrysome.

Yep got the eagle tree, but haven't used it yet. Stingers on MHZ are adjustable for the record, but out of the box won't go positive direction. Negative 1 degree is the lowest figure. You can easily adjust to negative 10 degree if you want. It still might not be a problem at all. I'm more than happy at the moment. The small MHZ mystic had a stinger problem ppl were talking about, but the medium should be ok.

I'm trying to find out from the German forums if people have modified the stingers to be able to achieve 0 degrees, but not having much luck, if anyone out there have really fast mystic m's please chime in and let us know if any modification needs to be done to the stingers.

                              Thanks

Are they adjusted like HPR's.They adjust with a set screw on the rear support.Apparently it is 5 degrees either way.
