There's nothing more heart wrenching that watching a boat disappear from life.

The obituaries usually read.. lost range ..lost sight ... props too big.. blow over.. cg wrong .. ducks dont dive! ... R.I.Pieces ...

Take as much time setting up as you do building, and they'll be pride of place in your collection for ages.

Well stated Sir. Those words of wisdom can be applied to more than boat builds.

Hey, still a fun day, and no damage done. If this is the worse that will ever happen I'll be very happy.

We waited 10mins while mine 'sailed' back.. both thought the other had rescue gear !!! :shame:

SC40 suffered dribbly bum syndrome.. but all's well after a moment in the sun ( summer here atm ).. ready to go again.

next time we go I need convince Kent to drive his himself.. !

Ta for a fun day !

A rescue boat by the side next time will wind you up. I am sure about this.

Hehe, good point I did build it! but here is the deal, I had it out the first time and things went well before I lost the shaft, I took it slow so no harm done. I am very new to electric boats, and handling them. one thing is to build, the other is setup and control. 80km/h worked for me on other boats, but now it's 100km/h, next will be 140km/h "I fly helli's so I'm use to that" with motors twice the power of what was installed (Leo's) i didnt know what to expect, so only safe thing is to leave to someone who knows what they are doing. (Just to get the ok green light) Now I have a better understanding, and a bit more respect of what I'm dealing with. 12hp = 3x lawn movers in one boat. LOOK OUT!

                        Anyway....have fun guys

LOL My point ...electrics are old technology... bring in the H2O powered "machines", Auto COG correction, titanium on the fly adjustable pitching self sharpening props. 300 mph capable, the list goes on LOL. Here we are stuck in the century with the boat upside down LOL....
