Thanks, yes had to remove the supports. When I get the motors in, I will make up some new ones. Should be good though, at first it didn't look like it was going to fit. They are almost as big as the 5692 with no jacket. I hope she'll fly

Hey Jerry, well sort of. It looks very real depending on how much you spray. I think I have to cover with some clear as the paint is not very strong. Google dupli-color metalcast and locate nearest dealer. It comes in a few different colors. I got it from super cheap auto they are 1 of the Australian dealers.

Well Nata, now you can try your 450/3's.I'm running 646 and 448's in my single DF 35".Twin 1717's should easily push 50+mm props.Don't ya just love the size of them.Don't know why they discontinued them. But apparently the new Traxxs XO-1 car has new 1717's in it(parts?)

Cool I'll work my way up till I get it right, I'm sure If ask nicely DrWayne will help me get this flying. Don't know if I love the size, they are big/fat. But they look very cool in the hull with no jackets! Shame I have to use them LOL I'll definitely use these motors for a bit. They seem to be a good alternative/upgrade to the Leo's, not that I ran them LOL ..... This is bad, now needing some new ESC's or one more SF 240. Never ends.....please don't ask how much I've spend,! The minute I work that out I will stop posting LOL

been done and gottin wet afew times but i have the issue of it freaks out like its lost range and then when it comes back to life one side (motor and esc) wont run wright,, but i have plans to replace the rx with the cheap PB 2.4 rx so atleast the antanna will be outside the carbon hull and i found one of my 5s batts had a low cell so i played with it awhile and think i got it back up again,, now just waiting for a dry warm weekend to try it again..

OK! both motors in. that was a task and a half! hardly any room at the front to get screws in, but all done. will install SF 240A on 6s and see how we go.

Rx needs good ext antenna when a CF hull.. . if a cheap Rx, fit an ext failsafe too ...
Wait till dry and warm ? hahahaha it's 39'c here .. ~110'f and dry as a nun's whatsit... I keep LiPos in the cooler before use !

                    Nice cans !
Those motors will do you well, M8.

Recommendation:..the servo arm with pushrods at ends.. move rods closer to center ... the rudder does not need large movement to turn the hull.. too much induces a roll over at speed . less is best... Ive 15-20' LR

Looking good.. time to charge those batts are get it wet !

                      Ok,
Should be good to go! sadly the 240's are so big it makes thing look abit untidy. wil work on hiding the esc's if possible. but I think its time to get her in the water.....
Waiting for a nice cool day.

Would you like to try black heat shrink for those ESC ?
Or, 3M produce a vinyl that appears as cf .. cut, glue as tube.. apply heat..... remember the dilapidated 3Pk Tx skin ..?

Wayne, I got a cf vinyl, does it come as a heat shrink as well? I only know of an adhesive cf vinyl that I used on the cooling cans. Be even better if I can place the esc's under the cf plate
