Hmm true, 12s 1p at 6600mph may not fit my mounts. Also wouldnt I be better off running packs in parallel and get better discharge rate?

I could be way off here, so I'm asking quietly ... Are those too small for that hull or maybe too high kv? I was hoping more like 22 series on HV ?

Great build, it looks very well built. I love your carbon work. May I just ask, do all those screws throughout the hull need checking and tightening very often? I could see myself taking so long ckecking everything that my dusk run would soon go dark.

Hi Millzee. Thanks for the comment there is really not much to hold in any of it. the servo has 4 screws with your standard lock nuts, so that wont come off. All the carbon mounts have the 4 screws, the washers are aluminium so kind of soft holding the screw in place. I do have a drop of threadlock on every one of them. Ofcause the 2 screws in the motors also have a bit of threadlock. Honestly, I only worry about the rudder/servo and motors (8 screws in total)

Ive been asked a few times what exactly went into this hull part wise, so here is the list.

Ok guys, a bit of good news. I have found a painter to do the paint work. That's happening on Monday sometime. Also I have just invested in some lehner 2280/11 they should be here in about a weeks time or so. I'm planning to run them on 12s with some 450/3 props. I'll be even more scared of the boat LOL but that should be some serious power!! I thought this was going to be a budget project but guess I was wrong. I'm still keen on pushing this setup to the max, to get an idea how hard you can push a budget setup. I don't want anything to blow though. So more like a safe MAX. But anyway .... Should be fun to do and post. Hang in there it should be fun with the lehners...

I have to buy another cam,my Contour sucks for shore filming.I'm trying to decide how to mount it so I can film alone.Have a hat mount for the Contour but if I put it on my Tx I can keep an eye on it and zoom in/out.
I gotta get on it as I am running this weekend.Any suggestion's on cam's are appreciated.

You sure you got that right? 2280/11's? That's 673kv, which will only give you 28k rpm on 12s..... I would be shooting for at least 32-35k, these things are rated at 50krpm, not that I'd suggest using it.

I could be wrong again but fresh cell's 4.2v 12s 50,4v x 673 = 33,919 if I understand Lehner those figures are under load, max efficiency ? So that's what the props should be spinning before voltage drop. Correct? If I'm wrong I'll be happy with 14s but I'll try this first. Even if they spin at 28k those props should move the 1140mm hull right?

Sure, it will work just fine, but you could have also gone with a 6 or 7 wind in hi amp and run it in the delta wind, the 6 would have given you around 700kv in Wye wind for your 12s running or you could have went the 7 wind and had a 10-16s setup between the delta and wye configuration.

Not trying to knock your build mate, it's absolutely stunning, just not the way I would have gone with the kv, but that's why it's your boat

They sort of landed with me cheap so I couldn't pick and choose, that's what they were, take it or......I just had a quick look and figured it might work. This is just for me to play, not very serious. Maybe one day. I'm going to give it a try see what happens....
