    Lookin' for a 1800kv - 2000kv w/ dual shafts

Hello everybody. I am right in the middle of planning my 1/12 Miss Budweiser pro hydro build, and I need some help.

I am looking for a 1800kv - 2000kv motor with a drive shaft sticking out both sides. This way I can run 2 things on both sides of the motor. Lets just say I got a killer idea, maybe it'll be the first of its kind, if I can do it.

If anyone knows where I can lay my hands on 1, I would greatly appreciate it. I already asked hobbyking if they can make me 1 with their 1800kv prop shaft. they already make them like that in other kv's. I am awaiting a reply.

Why do most people prefer to run 1800kv's in these ?.

How exactly do flex shafts work ?. Do I need to get a flex shaft the same diameter as the stock one, and then add or subtract length depending on motor placement ?.

Thanks for your help guys, I appreciate it.

You could use an outrunner and replace the shaft with a longer one. I looked for inrunners all over the place and could not find any.

So all you would have to do is buy a shaft that is the same diameter and swap them, You also might need a lock colar on the one end as well depending on your application. I got mine from McMaster-Carr.

Don't think HK will be able to help you, they manufacture nothing, just re-badge everything. The few you saw there would be all they have or know about, if you could find out who made them you could contact them.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

HK advertises right on the prop drive motor page, that they make all their motors in house. seems strange to me. I thought they rebadged everything too. I just got the new flysky FS-GT3B with 5 rx's. I just saw the same radio at hk, they rebadged theirs to the hk-gt3b ???. Probally outta the same warehouse in china anyway.

          Here is the actual quote:

NTM Motors are produced by HobbyKing....Because we design and build these motors completely in-house (from 3D/2D drawing to materials sourcing, machining, balancing, final assembly and dyno) we can completely control production and ensure product consistency from design right through to shipping the product to you. The removal of middle-men has meant we can drive better value to the market and retail these motors at factory(our) prices! All performance figures are real and tested on our own motor dynos. Our QC engineers check and balance each motor before shipping to the HobbyKing.com warehouse.

There are only a dozen NTM motors offered for sale, out of the hundreds of motors they sell. These are all small cheap motors, under $20. These are apparently the only thing they make themselves, but probably shows a trend. I wonder where they stole the 3D/2D drawings......
