Here's my solution for mounting semi-scale hardware on the weird sloping transom of the Rio Roses.
I managed to resist the urge to cut the whole *^%#$% transom off
These rudders are from OSE for the huge sum of $8.99 each complete with mounting brackets and screws. What a deal !!!!
I trimmed the brackets down to get the rudders closer to the transom and added the support bar coz I found they flexed too much.
I also cut about 3/8 inch from the trailing edge simply coz they looked too big.
There's no way this boat will ever be a raced, it will barrel roll on the first turn, but I think it is a good looking fun scale boat.
I have my decal man making some Rio Roses and Fountain decals to put on next.
