thanks mate, I will do, I went to buy a few the other day and the store only had pink, I just can't see myself having anything pink in one of my boats so I'll try to get some next time I'm outta town, I'm still painting the hull, I dunno if I'm doing it right because so far I've used 4 cans of clear and thinking of another couple of coats, it's comming up alright, I'm suprising myself

I thought I'd share a few pic's of the decals I've put under the clear coat, I've put on lots of clear but still have to give it a very light sand and polish it up.

I have made a little more progress, I got the cooling system, hardware, motor and esc onto the hull today and I wanted the dual picj up rudder but with the foot screw holes already drilled for the 21 rudder I decided to do a little mod and I swapped the rudders over by grinding the dual rudder cradle (or what ever you call it) so it fitted into the 21 bracket, all good, it even made it a tad longer which is good due to it bringing the front edge of the rudder back a bit closer to the drive dog(it's still about 1/2" infront though). I've kept my trim tabs up high for testing and elongated the holes in the stainless tab so I can adjust them with ease. I put the stinger to zero and will test it b4 I rethink cutting it shorter. I shortened the motor - esc wires and used ec5 connectors without the plastic for the joins. I am just waiting for the 4s Nano Tech's to arrive along with a few 8mm connectors b4 I can go too much further, I want to play around with proper battery placement b4 I stick down any velcro or trays, I've been useing my 6s lipo's to give me an idea of space needed for adjustments. Here's a few more pic's of my progress

This package just doesn't want to be mine. It finally arrived in the country this morning and the tracking say's "held in customs", I'll be stuff if I know why, it's only 6 lipo's, a few dozen connectors and some wire guard mesh, I've had this stuff come into the country with no pleblems before. Maybe some little bloke has packed some extra's in the box, or they may have scanned the package through the x-ray and just seen a heap of rectangular cell's, wires and huge bag of small hard objects.(Kaboooom!!!)

thanks for the nice comments guy's. I hit the hull with some good polish last night and I'ts come up a treat, well for my first painting effort anyway. The deck still has a few crows feet in the clear coat but I think it'll be good enough. Looking at my two boats last night I think I have decided to give my df35 a rub back and a simmilar paint scheme.

I got a bit more work done tonight, I managed to make a lipo tray that'll fit nice and hold the 4sp2 lipo's nice and snug. After playing around a heap with the cog and placement I went with 33-34% due to everything I read about this boat. I'm only guessing but I think the 1515 along with the right strut adjustment should be able to stop it from running wet but still hold the bow down at high speed. I've tried to do it so the tray won't be in the way if I need to run the batteries along side the motor to bring the cog back a bit. I also copied someones idea and added my own twist on a set of parallel connectors, I used 8mm's with copper wire running through them and then hit them with the torch, filled the ends and the outside with solder and then loaded them with more solder, I went around and around with electrical tape to sheild them so I hope they work.

well, I finally have a rtr, I played around with the eagle tree system and got it working (but what a birds nest). I think I'll give the boat I test run before installing it as I will have to figure out a way to fit it in and keep it all tidy. I'm going try a x640 first up as that's the smallest b & s prop I have at the moment, then I hope to step it up to a x642 and maybe try the m545 if everythings going well. Now I just have to wait for a few spare daylight hours when it's not raining.
