Here are some more pics of the QS370. Just gotta finish up the ride pads, glue the sponsons to the center, and add the air brakes. Its looking good now! Mike
Just wanted everyone to know that the 37" boat is fully rigged, and I will begin testing this sunday. First on 5s, then on 6s. Its going to run at the SAW race in Elizabeth City 2 weekends from now. My goal is 70mph for now. I will keep ya posted! MIke
Made the first runs with the boat today. Wow is all I have to say. Ran it on 5s and 6s. 5s is going to be a definate heat racing monster, and 6s, well, lets just say its straight raw. Videos Monday! Mike

Awesome Mike!

I have an extra CC1520 and I also have a CC1717 air that could be trick on this.
.NAMBA20...Caterpillar UL-1, P-Spec OM29, P-Mono DF33, P-Spec JAE, Aussie 33" Hydro-LSH, Sprintcat CC2028 on 8s, PT SS45 Q Hydro, PS295 UL-1 power, OSE Brothers Outlaw QMono 4-sale, Rio 51z CC2028 on 8s
Did some testing this weekend to prep for next weekends SAW event in Elizabeth City, NC. These were the first two runs with the new design. Its a big brother to the PS295, and little brother to the GS480 gas tunnel. First video is on 5 cell and second is on 6 cell. The 6 cell setup was set up relatively heavy in the front to see how the boat reacted to the extra rpm. No trim work done yet, but things are looking pretty good. Drove like a cadillac on 5s. Should be a fun boat! Mike
nice mike how do u figure the motor angle so close just looking at it? mine is still nose too high but getting there......do u put more neg angle in the motor for race water or just leave it same as smooth water?
Raydee, on 5s it will make a really great heat racing boat. I made some high speed turns (not in the video), and it actually is easier to turn that the PS295. Those two videos were literally the first and second runs the boat ever made. Right off the building board to the water, so there is a lot of tuning left to do!
Ron, Just keep bringing the propshaft trim more and more negative until you get the ride attitude correct. The 295 really likes the CoG around 8.5". Once you have it where you want it, as the speed increases, the bow drops because of the downforce. You will know when you are there!
Team Loeb/ Luszcz regains the P- O/B Tunnel SAW record this weekend with an average 64.8mph, and fast pass of 65.52mph. Dick Loeb had his PS295 dialed in, and with the help of great people like Aaron Alberico and Doug Smock things really came together. Thanks guys for the help!
The Q-O/B Tunnel record was also regained with a 68.8mph average and one way pass at 72.47mph. I had trouble with transitioning from stop to full speed all 3 days, but when it would finally settle, it locked in and went. Some more test time is definitely in the works.
The S-O/B and T-O/B Tunnel records were also set with the 40" Woodstuff at 58.Xmph and 68.8mph consecutively. Dick was the driver on S, and I drove it on T. It went threw 3 motors, and 2 controllers (one which caused a dead short arc weld in my hands, leaving my finger a little fried- I will discuss that situation in another thread). None the less, this was a year long project with the hull donated my Mike Crawford at Woodstuff, and John Snider at Tork-it and Doug Smock getting a Hydra 180HV in the boat over the weekend to get it done. Special thanks to those guys.
I know the florida crew is already making more test runs as I type. I think its going to be a very cool time for the O/B tunnel records as the interest in FE tunnels is growing!
