    suggestions for a boat build

    OK folks, here goes.

I have a choise of either building the JAE 21 rigger and putting the Faegio 540 9L with 3s 5000 40c in it OR maybe get a Mono hull.

This will be just for sport running when not running the nitro boats.

    Any suggestions/ comments?

You can get great speeds out of a JAE rigger, but it depends where/what type of water conditions you're going to be running. This is based on spec setup. Nothing fancy - UL1 motor/esc, and 4S I believe.

i have 3 jae fe's, one 21fe with a neu 1415, one with the ul-1 motor/esc and one 12 that was converted to fe. the 12 is my fav running a ul-1 set. i just extended the tub upwards to make it as tall as the 21fe and it worked out good. otherwise the stock 21fe is a great boat. both of then run about mid 50's with stock ul1 motors on 4s. as you allready know you cant go wrong with a jae rigger. otherwise the mono will prob run mid 40's on a 9l 3s, i would recomend a delta force 26" or the copys are cheap (around $65 plus shipping). the real delta is worth the extra $ if steve has them in stock

Id go with the JAE 21.
Although it is an easy build, you could spend some time laying down a really cool paint scheme if you want the project to last a while.
