but it will take ALOT of work. i always tell people you cant get that look from a spraycan because of the amount of work it will take. the truth is you can!!! most guys on here seem to get the color coats on just fine but get stumped on how to clear it and get the "wet" look, like on your car. im gonna tell you how to do it. you need ALOT of patience. firstly you must choose Enamel or Lacquer. you cant mix the two. once your color is on, its time to start spraying clear. clear in a can contains ALOT of thinners to make it sprayable from a can, so it does not contain very much "solids" . it will take 15 to 20 coats minimum no more than 3 per day then waiting 24 hours and 3 more and so on. the reason for this is to let the paint fully dry before burying it with more clear and having undried clear underneath. this will be a problem when you wet sand. after a good 5 or 6 days or spraying you will need to let it sit for at least 2 weeks to fully cure. now comes the hard part. wet sand everything with 1500 wet/dry paper. you can use 800 for and "peely" spots. meaning any clear that is"dry" or "rough" feeling. this is why you need to get lots of coats of of clear on. you will be sanding alot of them off. after the entire thing has been sanded with at least 1500 ( 2000 grit even better) you will need to buff back to a high gloss. start with a heavy grit rubbing compound, like the kind used on cars to get the shine back.this takes out the scratches left by the sandpaper. now move on to a swirl remover, which has a much finer grit to remove the swirls left by the compound working in circular motions until it looks "wet" you're done! it is alot of work i assure you but it can be done with spraycans
