OK, to be honest I've been quite worried about the size of the 1521 and if it will fit in the Genesis. It's a big long motor. Well, it turns out that the 40mm mount that I already ordered when I was planning on using the 2200 CC/Neu will work perfectly. The stringers are a bit short for the 1527, but there's plenty of room to make proper motor can tail supports using the stringers that came with the new mount and the stringers already installed in the boat. This is way cool.
The front mount will work, but appears to require upsizing the drilled holes to allow for the 4mm motor mount bolts (vs 3mm stock).
The coupler should be here next week as well as the 078 wire drive and the 4mm ball bearing strut. It should spin up a 45mm prop on 6s and hopefully hit 60+.
If I'm lucky enough, I might get a top speed run and join the 70mph club. That would be way cool.
But, one step at a time. Time to install the motor. First, uninstall the stock motor.
