I had another Blue Bird servo die on me. This is the second 621 DMG that has gotten hot and fried itself. I think it's because of overloading the rudder with trim to compensate for the pull to the right... and the servo is only an 7kg servo. They are really fast and have been great in my 1/8th buggies, but I guess the rudder is too much for them.
I've had good luck with the 620's and 660's though, so stuck a 620 I had in another boat in and ready to go!
So, I'm now using 4 3s 20c 4000mah packs for a 3s4p 16000mah setup with 6.5mm castle bullets on the motor and ESC wires and individual deans on the battery packs. All the connections are in spec for a change. =)
Still wish I could fit the motor with the cables up like I originally intended. The water flow would be much better. Still doesn't get warm after a full run. Only about 90 degrees. I have the water line going into a splitter and then into the ESC in parallel and back to single to the motor mount, motor and then out the side. So far it's been working well.
Picked up a 2600kv 3656 motor for next to nothing would the stock prop be okay on 4S?
If not any recommendations?
Cheers
Yeah, I've run a 36/56 w/38mm prop on 4s. Broken prop on every run. Too high RPM for plastic props reliably IME. Runs well until the prop unloads and then breaks when it reaches peak RPM unloaded. Bends the hard prop shaft and destroys the strut.
I haven't tried with a metal prop, but I would stay small, 36-38mm until it get's reliable.
Good luck and please update on the results!

Latest update, ran it on 4s today with surprisingly good results!
54 mph with an x440 prop, probably due to choppy waters and the massive size of the 1200gram 4s2p 40c 10k setup running a little wet. Might do some more experimenting with 4s, but she is really fun!
Smooth, controllable and turns right really well at full throttle.
Think I'm going to buy a new one and use what I've learned to build it to spec from a nice clean start. =)
