Sweet! Just a FYI, the 2650 motor is a 1512, the 2200 is a 1515. I have a s@B x442 You can have for $25.00 shipped. If you want it paypal me @ [email protected]. I also have a s@B m445 that may work well with that setup too for the same price. LMK

Interesting, does make sense though because the 2650 is shorter than the 2200. Thanks for the correction, I appreciate it! So hard to keep all this stuff straight sometimes.

Paypal Sent for the x442, thanks!!

I tried an m445 and it's a bit much, the T180 switches to low voltage mode.

Am I correct in thinking that it's about the same as the x447? ~2.5"

I still need to do some reading on props and choosing the right prop. There's so man aspects to it... so confusing sometimes!

It is quite a bit smaller than the x447.(less blade area) It really won't load the motor much more than a x440, but should yield more speed with the added pitch.

I'm still trying to figure out the prop sizing steps. I was going by the total inches of the prop... but that's probably not very accurate.

I remember a thread with a listing of prop sizes, but can't seem to find the thread.
              Anyone recall the post?

This motor is out of an E-Revo, came in the 1/8th Castle Mamba Monster 2650 kit.
It's a really fun 4s 1/8th buggy motor. I have a few of them. They are like the 2200's, except shorter, which is why it fit in the Apparition. The longer 2200 hit the hatch and the hull.

OK, got the 640 and the 442 coming- thanks Rumdog!

If I'm lucky, I'll get some boating time in this afternoon. At a family event today... I'm at the mercy of the inlaws. =)

Just got back from the pond after trying 6S on the stock set up.... starting to get tired of waiting for my batts to arrive on the slow boat from China...

Only put 1 set of batts through, it went great but the old ESC didn't like it too much & would shut down after about a minute or so.

I'm going to replace both the motor & ESC anyway so I wasn't too worried if it fried.

                          Cheers

Didn't think the stock setup would take 6s. I know it runs OK on 4s though. I think someone did some run times on the stock setup with 4s at 42mph?

It ran but didn't like it, I basically did it for "Sh!ts & Giggles" (just for laughs) if you know what I mean.

A little change in battery setup not only dropped the temps, but increase the performance!

I dropped in 4 packs of 3s 20c 3000mah lipos in parallel for a 3s4p 12000 mah setup. I don't know the run time because some toothless a$$wipe wouldn't keep his jaws close enough to let me concentrate, but I did get a reading on the GPS. 50.7 and temps were lower than normal, but that is probably from a shorter run. Also with 4 packs, I can distribute the weight more evenly in the sponsons.

I'm really diggin the 4p setups. WAY cheaper than two big 40c 6000mah packs too!
