Very nice job and unique. What is the length of the struts, transom to end of strut? How much is your weight rtr?

You prefer it like this or with the 1527?

Thanks for the compliments guys! Disar, Not sure which setup I prefer yet. I need a little more wheel time to get this setup dialed. I'm guessing that this setup will be more fun to run, and also easier on the equipment. Everything ran exceptionally cool. The 1.5d was a pretty hot motor and I felt I was pushing that setup pretty hard with the x455. This twin setup id going to be MUCH faster. Hoping to get her wet again today.

I'll check the strut distance for you later. They are the speedmaster .21 struts with the mono brackets from OSE.

Disar, the struts are 2" from transom to the end of the strut. Ran again with the neg. angle in the struts. It stayed glued to the water. Perhaps a little too much though. Going to adjust them up just a touch. About 2 mins in, one motor cut out. Seems that a solder joint on the circuit board of one of my Turnigy packs went bad. Has a slight burned smell too. That pack is trash I'm assuming. Going to get the Flightmax 40c 5800's. I did gps it today and got 70.4 mph! Pretty dang fast! I still can't believe how well it will corner at that speed. I'm down now till I get new packs though. I have a pair but they are only 20c, and I'm not risking it.

No picture needed. Cut a piece out of a pool noodle 3/4" square as long as the tunnel width. Glue it to the tunnel floor and sides with ShooGoo. Let dry. Voila.

                    Reduce the lifting effects.

70 mph!!! Very nice, well done. A very good racing boat, good top speed and good cornering.
How many amps do you think each motor consumes?
Thinking of making one of my sprintcats twin now like yours

Got my new batteries ordered. Hopefully they ship out soon. HK has moved their warehouse and are a little behind. So, question... Paint the hatch, or no? If not, I'll just touch up the existing job. I looks pretty good with the contrasting colors I think.

This same thing happened to one of my 3s packs, and it was an easy fix.

I still have the pack. Have been thinking about soldering it back together. Just wondering what caused it in the first place. On a side note, I'm thinking of having my 447's cut down to 455's, maybe pitched up a bit too. I think I'll run the 447's once bfore though. It should be insanely fast!
