Ive got mine set at 3.2 and on long passes I dont hit the cut off for about 2 minutes. This was running easy in the turns, even stopping sometimes to let the water settle a bit. I get about 14 passes at close to 150 yrds each until the lvc kicks. This is running brand new packs for this boat that now have 5 cycles on them. If I can ever get her back in the water, I will be running 5800, instead of 5000mahs... Both are 30C. And it peaks about 90A per motor, so 180 total.

Something else to think about is, your escs will possibly see more voltage spikes with a single battery feeding two motors...
Saving weight in a boat is not alway a good thing..

Wasnt just for weight savings, I wanted to save some money as well, I will be starting with 40mm props which are probably smaller then the ones tiqueman is running, not to metion the 540 13L supposidly will only draw about 47 Max Amps, I know it could probably go over that, but with twins it might not. That would put me at 100max amps, who knows, ill be measuring the max amps/watts to each side and maximum voltage drop. So all that will be posted, ill also time my run so I know about how long it takes the LVC to kick in. Im also hoping the 5800mAH pack will add some more time as well, ill be happy with 3-4 minute runs, any shorter and ill have to get a second pack.

Tiqueman let me know how your 5800 1p works out

Those motors can pull WAY more amps than that. They shouldn't with your setup though. You should be safe. Consider that you'll only getting 2500 or or 2900 mah worth of run time though.

I say just run it with what you have and then make changes. You can't really compare cats and monos IMO. My 12l in my sv would pull amps of 140 with a constant of 70-75 amps. With twins they will share the load between each system but the batts will see loads from both systems.

Start small on the props and work your way up from there. My cat can run on 42s on 1p but with the 45s it just don't cut it.

I agree, monos can pull more amps than cats. One cannot compair the two...
It will be sweet to see it run!
I hope your able to get a good video of your maiden run..

Id love the additional weight.. its the room thats got me. Cant find much in upper cell counts at 35mm or so max height. Sucks.. I wilsh I had 5 more mm and I could at least get 2 6S 3000s.... or maybe 3500ish... Best I can do for parallel is 5S at about the 3-3500mah range. Im thinking of a mod though that would allow me the 6S long low pro packs. But I dont know how my cog will handle it? Darn, guess I gott a build another boat.

Almost done with this now if my ESC's and battery would come in already

Heres some new pics, I got a little projects case from Radio Shack to make a radio bow out of, im gonna run some extensions out ouf it one for the servo and another for power and also a Y-Harness to go to the esc's.

Here is a link to the ESC's I ordered: http://hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store...idProduct=8937

Should I use the BEC, or run a seperate battery?
                      The BEC is 6v, 3A. Running 2 ESC's through the Y-Harness would give me 6V, 6A correct?

What would you reccomend? Also is this a good enough location for the Radio Box(picture below)?

I got the motors and everything in and mounted, cut down the struts, left a little in case I need to lower them, and a new antenna too heres some more pics.

Basically done, just a ton of soldering left to do....

Two Becs will not give you 6Amps or 6 volts. Use only 1 Bec, I suggest an external. More reliable imo.
