Being from HOTR, they were set up w/ led bearings for 4mm shafts. Anyway, I drilled as stated and built my own bushings using 1/4" and 7/32. So they slide into the stinger nice and snug and now my 3/16 shaft works like a champ.
Nice work dude! Thats what I did with my HK stingers for my Skunkworks Kitty. Build the boat how you want to. If it don't work the way you want it to, then at least you know you tried. I'm in the same boat as you but on the other end of the spectrum. My rudder is freggin HUGE! Gave Ray Fuller the dimensions and running gear and he set me up with this rudder. He must know something.

I can't wait to see your boat in action.

      Scott,

Be careful with the rudder from Octura. It's investment cast aluminum. I have folded those rudders over from pressure in turns. Once bent they are easy to crack.

Thanks Baked. I looked at a similar rudder from Steven, actually have it on my single drive cat. But the bracket wasnt center mount, meaning 2 "L" brackets w/ the rudder in the middle or equivalent. I love the rudder on my other cat. Turns amazingly well. And it was very long too. I ended up cutting a little off of it, if nothing else so it could sit on the stand and the rudder not hit the table. Didnt seem to effect performance at all.

John, thats been in the back of my head too. Not being a race boat, I wont have to push it hard in turns.. although I would like it to corner well. What I am concerned w/ is one wicked blow over and she comes back w/ no rudder. But we will see. Financially, its the rudder that looked best for what I could spend. But it certainly wont be on it forever.

As for cooling, I know the standard is pick-up, esc, motor, exit. I tried re-routing for 20 minutes last night and nothing comes out as nice as it is now. In order to hit the esc first, I will have to have a big loop from the motor to to the exit, so my cooling line length will be quite a bit longer.. and look even more like spaghetti! Any thoughts, is it ok to cool Motor first? I did figure out one way to do it, but it would involve drilling a hole up in the top of the motor mount, where I cant easily get to... but it would get the tubing in the correct order with minimal loops and no possibilities of kinking.....

You can do separate water to your esc and motors. You have two inputs on there...use them for each part. One for the motors only and one for the ESCs. It would prbably be a crazy bunch of lines. You are best with ESCs first and then motors. Your set up looks fine as long as it flows.

Each pick up is only a single. I did not get the duals. So one pick up on each side. On my single drive I have dual pickups, one system for the motor and one for the ESC. Works beautifully. Had I done the bent brass tube method, I might have been able to get 2 on each side... maybe? But I really didnt want all that line in each sponson. Its already a mess....

I think what jeff is saying is use one pickup to feed both motors and one pickup to feed both escs.

Jeff, get yourself a Seking 180 and prop up instead! More speed equals more fun right?
